Finding Balance.

I don't know the meaning of life or the route to true happiness; my own interpretation would be along the lines of, 'Loving others more than you love yourself, and learning to live in balance and harmony.' but that's just me.

Life can be overwhelming, stressful and challenging at times.
In these instances, we require balance, as ...

Without balance, we fall.

Go minimal or go home.
Strip back to the bare essentials - don't clutter your life with materialistic, unnecessary objects; it won't bring you true happiness or real fulfilment in the long run - unless it's a puppy, puppies are great - get a puppy - or a coffee machine.

It's your life, spend it doing your favourite things.
. Make a list of things that make you happy.
. Make a list of things you do everyday.
. Compare the list.
. Adjust accordingly.

Take a quick minute.
Take a minute to appreciate the wonderment that is life; be thankful that you are alive and able.
Be thankful for the ability to think, to speak and to love.

Take control.
Only you can have the power to change the way you feel.
You have the great ability to influence those around you, so choose kindness and give the world good energy.

Focus on now.
The past is insignificant, the future is unpredictable, so live in the now and enjoy every second of it.

Open your eyes.
Open your eyes to the euphoric beauty that surrounds us on a daily basis.
The world is a beautiful place, and when fully appreciated it has the power to make our problems seem rather menial and insignificant.
Find beauty in the little things and you'll forever be in love.

Just let it slide.
Pick your battles, sometimes you just gotta let things go and move on.
So, you fell over in that very open, public place? Laugh it out and let it slide.
It's only going to take up your precious mind space, and gurl, you need that space for beyonce lyrics and stuff.

Love,
Grace x

  2. I was definitely experiencing a very trying and stressful time a couple of weeks ago and blogged something similar to this. My fix to help me not feel so overwhelmed was to take 5 minutes during my planning at school (I'm a teacher) and think about something positive that I had happened at school that day so far, so that I could try to focus more on the positives and less on the negatives.
